NYC-born and Bronx-bred, with rich Dominican and Afro-Cuban roots, Isa Marina is a dynamic force in Latin R&B and pop. As a singer-songwriter, actress, and model, she’s carved a path that’s both classic and future-forward. Her voice—a dramatic soprano with a whistle register—evokes soul, power, and emotion, channeling the fire of the women who raised her and the city that shaped her.

Isa’s journey began at age nine with self-taught guitar chords and local talent shows, but it was a performance by opera legend Maria Callas that sparked a fire. By 14, she was studying classical voice at the Marianela Sánchez School of Music in the Dominican Republic, under the tutelage of the school’s namesake. With a 3.5-octave range and years of classical training, Isa returned to New York prepared to merge technical mastery with the soul of contemporary pop.

Her debut EP Montage (2013) and follow-up project Mirrors Volume I (2016) introduced a rising voice with something real to say. Media like The Source, Global Grind, and Rolling Out took notice. By the time True Colors dropped in 2019—an EP she executive produced—Isa had founded her label, Norwood Entertainment, and completed two self-managed tours across major East Coast cities.

She’s lit up stages across NYC and beyond, from The Theater at Madison Square Garden to SOB’s, The Bowery Electric, Rockwood Music Hall, and WNYC’s Soundcheck Live. She’s a Sofar Sounds alum and a TRL “Rock the Mic” winner, and has been featured by CNN en Español, Remezcla, MusicBreakr, and more.

Now in 2025, Isa is unveiling her most magnetic work to date. With new music arriving this summer, she’s stepping fully into her sound—lush, modern, and unmistakably hers.
